Despite her loyalty, however, Belos held utterly no gratitude for Kikimora's years of service and devotion towards him, regarding her with the same hatred he possessed for all the Isles' inhabitants. In truth, Belos regarded Kikimora as incompetent and useless, having demoted her several times for her constant failures, and is unimpressed by her numerous attempts to please him. During Coven Day, he even ordered Terra Snapdragon to assassinate her if she chose to desert him during the holiday parade and gave her no reward when she proved her dedication to him, only permitting her to live a little longer in his service. In "Watching and Dreaming", Belos sends Eda into a fury when he obliterates Luz when she tries to protect the Collector. She calms down when Luz returns courtesy of the Titan, and together with Luz and King, they manage to separate Belos from the Titan's heart. When the boiling rain starts dissolving him, Eda tells him they really aren't better than what he claims and proceeds to squish him.
Powers and Stats
This resulted in the Collector being freed from his prison and foiling Belos' genocidal plans, while also reducing his body to a severely weakened, glob-like state. During his reign over the Boiling Isles, Kikimora served as Belos' personal assistant in the Emperor's Coven, and was one of his most loyal followers. She was deeply devoted to him and carried out his orders without question in the hopes of earning his praise and becoming his right hand, though she was often willing to go behind his back and spy on him if it suited her needs of acquiring his favor.
Emperor Belos/Philip Wittebane

He is voiced by Alex Lawther when he assumes Philip's appearance, and Fryda Wolff in his child form. When assuming Belos's past appearance as Philip Wittebane, Inner Belos is identical to Philip as he appeared in the Deadwardian Era, when he first encountered Luz, except his body emits a strong red glow, causing a heavily red-shaded appearance in comparison to his real-world self. In 2000, Thomas would succeed in his plans to build an interdimensional "magic railroad". Why he did this is unknown, but it is speculated that he wishes to spread his tyranny to other dimensions as well.
The Owl House - Emperor Belos
He is later revealed to be Philip Wittebane, a 16th century witch hunter from Gravesfield, Connecticut during the Deadwardian Era (Which would be the mid 1600s in the human realm/world), who is hellbent on killing all of the witches on the Isles. While Harvey is shown to be very protective and studious, Gilbert secretly allows her to escape to help her friends.[8] In "Hunting Palismen", Willow gets her own staff and palisman in the form of a bee named Clover.[2] In "Any Sport in a Storm", she starts a Flying Derby team with Gus, Skara, Viney, and an incognito Hunter. But then we get to Elsewhere and Elsewhen and Hollow Mind and everything is subverted. It turns out that Belos is a liar, he can't talk to the Titan, he invaded the promised land that is the peaceful Boiling Isles and told lies to get everyone to follow him, and he created a lot of Hunter clones and killed them when they betrayed him.

Powers and Abilities
During the events of "Hollow Mind" it is revealed that Hunter was not the first grimwalker Belos created, and judging from the conversation with the Collector, Belos would destroy the grimwalker whenever they started questioning his actions, even going so far as the claim that their "betrayal" hurts him every time. When Hunter learns the truth about Belos after getting sent into his mind, he decides to destroy him too and make another grimwalker, though Hunter flees at that point. Following this, Belos sent Coven Scouts to look for and retrieve Hunter in order to dispose of him. Sadly, however, whatever bond Philip and Caleb shared came to an end following their encounter with the witch Evelyn. Initially, Philip suspected his brother was taken by Evelyn, and thus set off to the Boiling Isles to save him.

Right then, Hunter is dragged down into the ground, despite Luz's attempts to save him. In season two, Amity is put upon by Odalia and Alador when they expel her friends from Hexside for being a "bad influence" on her. But when they endager Luz when she tries to get her and her friends back into school, she stands up to Odalia and gets them back into Hexside.[8] She acknowledges that Luz's arrival changed her for the better, and redyes her hair lilac because Odalia forced her to have her hair dyed green to match with her siblings. From the events displayed in "Hollow Mind", Belos killed his own brother when he fell in love with a witch in a fit of rage.
Evelyn
Following the events of "King's Tide", after Belos was defeated by the Collector, he is reduced to a small goop-like form and is forced to possess and consume creatures' flesh to stay alive and gain more mass over time. After returning to the Boiling Isles, Belos stayed in his monster form, albeit highly weakened, as his body gradually melted away. After Raine managed to force Belos out of their body, Belos was left as a torso, with his left humerus exposed, and missing his right forearm, and some of his teeth. A large dome-shaped room containing Belos' current project, of great relevance to the Day of Unity. The room's main feature is a large, circular ring with white-gold wings splayed at its sides, resembling Belos' staff, being constructed around the reconstructed door to the human realm.

Philip ended up using them to distract a Stone Sleeper while he made off with a circular mirror contained within the Titan's head. He was then confronted by the duo after they tamed the Stone Sleeper, but when he refused to answer any questions about the mirror, Lilith punched him in the face, scarring him. Subsequently, when Philip returned to his dwelling, it is revealed that the mirror grants him the ability to communicate with the enigmatic Collector.
His messiah complex reaches its peak when he possesses the Titan's heart, posing in a way that makes him look crucified, showing he is completely deluded and genuinely believes himself to be the savior of humanity on par with Jesus himself. In "Young Blood, Old Souls", Belos briefly suppressed the Owl Beast to speak with Eda, revealing his interest in the Portal to the Human Realm. When she refused to cooperate, he sentenced her to a public petrification, claiming to a devastated Lilith that it was the Titan's will that all wild witches be eliminated before the "Day of Unity". This caused Lilith to betray him by aiding Luz and King free Eda, but Belos caught them in the act and threw Lilith and King into Eda's cell. Luz tried to fight him, but the Emperor ultimately overpowered and proposed she trade the Portal for Eda's life; he assured that the Titan wasn't plotting an invasion of the Human Realm.
He carries a small wooden sword at the left side of his body, and emits a strong lilac glow, causing a heavily purple-shaded appearance in comparison to his real-world self. In the series finale, Luz and her fellow weirdos overcome the odds to triumph over a powerful, manipulative man whose fear and self-righteous ambition have fueled his mission to annihilate everything he refuses to understand. And they save the demon realm without compromising who they are or what they believe in.
In "Watching and Dreaming", after months of being trapped in the Human Realm, Belos, possessing the body of the Bard Coven head, Raine Whispers, returned to his castle in an effort to merge with the Titan's heart in order to complete his plan of destroying the Boiling Isles. Though Raine was able to free themselves from Belos's control, they were unable to prevent him from merging with the heart, allowing him to possess the Titan's body. This resulted in the castle being destroyed in the process, with walls and structures having completely collapsed from the spreading of Belos's flesh throughout the Isles. According to these links, the portraits on the walls in Hollow Mind suggest that Philip killed his own brother for falling in love with a witch. We are talking about a British white guy from the 1600s, for those who remember history class, English accent white guys from the 1600s were colonial jerks who enslaved and colonized. And during that era, anyone who was accused of being a witch would be drowned or burned, just because.
During the Day of Unity, Belos and Hunter would clash with each other at the Head of the Titan, during which Belos would try one last time to manipulate him to his side but to no avail. During the battle, however, Belos expressed deep rage upon seeing Flapjack, a palisman connected to Caleb, at Hunter's side, angrily crying out Caleb's name in front of the frightened grimwalker and attacked both him and the palisman. Shortly after, he issues a decree that all young witches must be placed in a coven before the Day of Unity and sent Adrian Graye Vernworth to carry this out at Hexside. However, he fails miserably after he and his team are defeated by the students and teachers of Hexside. He is a metaphysical manifestation of Emperor Belos' thoughts and emotions that exists within his mindscape.
However, while affected by the Day of Unity, it only caused Belos to lose control of his body as he mutated into a monstrous palismen creature that nearly kills her and her friends. Belos' body was obliterated when King freed the Collector, who immediately went on to stop the draining spell, ruining centuries of planning. Unbeknownst to everyone, a fragment of Belos landed on Hunter as Luz's group fled the Boiling Isles and ended up in the dilapidated house within the human realm, living off various animals as a parasite and then possessing Hunter before leaving his body to escape back to the Demon Realm. In season two, Eda begins to deal with the fact that she is no longer all-powerful and initially struggles to earn money for the Owl House.
He created the coven system to restrict the use and knowledge of magic, and those who resisted were declared wild witches who would face harsh punishments. He was born named Philip Wittebane and along with his older brother named Caleb Wittebane, they became orphans at some point and Caleb did his best to take care of his younger brother. The orphaned brothers arrived in Gravesfield in 1613 and they tried to fit in to their new town and its unsavory practices. Caleb was spirited away by her, dazzled by magic and entered a portal to the Demon Realm. And even though he claims his actions are for the good of mankind, he sees no issue with killing humans the second they disagree with him, even a young child like Luz. Evelyn was a mysterious witch from the Boiling Isles that Philip and his brother Caleb encountered during their time as witch hunters in Gravesfield, with her presumably being the first real witch they had ever encountered.
Similar statues can be found lining the room Belos is using to reconstruct the portal to the Human Realm. Kikimora (voiced by Mela Lee) is Belos' minion and essentially his secretary, often fighting people or giving out orders. Her hair resembles a hand clinging onto her head, and she wears a jacket that covers her mouth; a glimpse of her mouth is shown in "Clouds on the Horizon", showing she has two teeth. She rarely appears in season one, often contacting members of the Emperor's Coven. On July 19, 2019, Terrace announced that TJ Hill composed the series' score.[31] On January 10, 2020, Hill said that the score features "interesting and experimental sounds that [he] had a ton of fun cooking up".[32] In the second season, Gravity Falls and Star vs. the Forces of Evil composer Brad Breeck took over as composer.
